Location of Operations: Vilabuly District, Savannakhet Province, Laos
Company Ownership Stake: Chifeng Gold holds 90% interest, and the Government of Laos holds 10% interest.
Sepon Gold-Copper Mine is operated and managed by Lane Xang Mining Limited Company, a controlled subsidiary of Chifeng Gold. Located in south-central Laos, the mineral concession covers an area of over 1,000 square kilometres with most of the exploration areas lying within Vilabuly District, Savannakhet Province and a small portion in Khammouane Province. The mine area features complex structural frameworks and favourable metallogenic conditions with diverse deposit types. Multiple Carlin-type gold deposits and skarn-type copper deposits have been identified. It also hosts exploration potential for orogenic gold deposits, MVT lead-zinc deposits and ion-adsorption rare earth deposits. At present, Chifeng Gold holds 90% interest in the Sepon Mine, while the Government of Laos holds the remaining 10% interest.

In 2020, Sepon Gold-Copper Mine shifted its production focus from copper cathode to gold. Then the SND deposit was discovered in 2024 with its first resource estimates published in 2025. Following the completion of the second-phase drilling in August 2026, the deposit's gold equivalent resource increased to 260 metric tonnes from the initial 107 tonnes.
